August 22, 2009 Absent: Tim Podlin, Linda Matzke Karl Frickelton, Chairman, called the meeting to order at 10:00 AM. The Election for Commissioners was held. Both incumbents Dan Schleiter and Kyle Cassel accepted the nominations. There were no other nominations or voluteers from the floor. Ballots were distributed to all eligible electors. Both Dan and Kyle were unanimously voted in (32-0) for another 3 year term ending at the annual meeting 2012. Congratulations Dan & Kyle. A motion was made and seconded to approve the Minutes of the 2008 Annual Meeting. Motion was approved unanimously. The Annual Audit for the year ending December 31, 2008 was conducted by Joy Rezny and Charlene Larson on Jue 6, 2009. Joy read the Audit Report stating that the 2008 records of the JLRPD were accurate and followed the procedures for Lake Districts. Special thanks to Joy and Char for completinng the Annual Audit. Dan Schleiter, Treasurer, reviewed both the Statement of Changes in Net Assets for the Period Ending July 31, 2009 and the Grant Summary for 2008-2011. He also explained the Proposed 2010 Budget for the JLRPD and recommended that the property tax levy be reinstated. Public comment was heard and a motion was made and seconded to approve the 2010 Budget as presented. The motion was passed by the Electors; 32 in favor, 0 abstentions, and 0 opposed. Mike Backus, Advisory Group Chair, presented the updates and changes proposed for the Goals and Action Items addressed in the Jordan Lake Management Plan. The Action Items completed in 2009 and those to be addressed in 2010 were reviewed by the Board. The Board voted unanimously to approve the updates to the Lake Management Plan and have the revisions to the Goals and Action Items section (pages 16-24) posted on the website at www.jlrpd.org. A motion was made and seconded to adjourn the meeting. The meeting was adjourned at 10:39 AM.
