Laura Shaw is our new Clean Boats/Clean Waters coordinator. This is a VERY IMPORTANT part of our Lake Management Plan and support for our grant funding. RECENT UPDATES (Listed Newest to Oldest) 5/7/2012 WEATHER UPDATE - After a very dry winter things at the lake have changed! Since I began to measure rainfall this season on 4/10 we have received over 11.3 inches of rain. Since 4/27 the lake has gone up 7.5 inches, for the rains last week were massive. The lake level has benefited but some folks have had water problems and erosion issues and a few piers need to be re-set. Submitted by Mike Backus 4/26/2012 The March 17, 2012 Meeting Minutes were added. 1/4/2012 WEATHER UPDATE - Maybe we are in a warming trend! The lake finally was completely ice covered as of 1/3/12. Prior to that date we had significant open water just out from the boat landing for a couple 100 yards. According to my records that is a modern day record. The last time it froze over that late was 2007 when it froze over on the 15th of Jan. As of the 4th we have just a dusting of snow on the ground. The roads are good except for the smaller ones and they are ice covered because of a freezing rain/snow mix we got on New Years. More warm weather is called for this next weekend.
